"The Voice": A Neuchâtel native in the final

Loris, 18 years old, shines in TF1's flagship music show.

A huge surprise on Saturday night during the famous French music competition "The Voice". Loris, 18 years old and from Neuchâtel, got his ticket for the grand final, saved in extremis by the judge Nolwenn Leroy.

Covering the title "L'envie" by Johnny Hallyday, Loris did not tremble with his voice despite the big challenge that awaited him. He delivers a performance mixing power and sensitivity, to the great pleasure of his coach Marc Lavoine and the viewers. Indeed, the suspense is at its height. 4 of the 5 tickets for the final are awarded to Nour, Vike, Mister Mat and Caroline Costa. 5 talents are in the running for this last sesame, including Loris. After an unbearable suspense, Nolwenn Leroy, who has the heavy responsibility to decide between the candidates, says: "I am a girl of convictions, and my conviction since the beginning, is that Loris will go to the final".

Swiss public's enthusiasm

Many people in French-speaking Switzerland attended this semi-final and Loris' fanbase is growing with each episode. Indeed, a fan zone was temporarily set up at the Tennis du Mail in Neuchâtel, next to the restaurant of the singer's father. About 250 people were present.

Singer since recently

The particularity of Loris is that he has been singing for a short time, 5 months to be exact. He started by rapping with his friends at the Place Pury in Neuchâtel, before starting to sing. This particularity turns out to be an asset, because this raw and promising side seduced the coaches. Despite his inexperience, he showed that he was capable of interpreting a wide range of the repertoire.

Will he be able to pull his weight in the final? Answer on Saturday night on TF1!
