Japan Impact 2025: Apolline at the heart of the event
Japan Impact 2025 once again brought together fans of Japanese culture in Lausanne. With its designer stands, events and artistic demonstrations, the event has become a not-to-be-missed rendezvous for fans of manga, illustration and the graphic arts. This year, the Apolline drawing school made its mark with an interactive stand combining creativity and learning.
Two key activities particularly attracted the public: a participatory fresco where everyone could give free rein to their imagination, and live drawing sessions led by students from the school. These activities showcased the expertise of the students and generated a great deal of discussion about the drawing courses offered by Apolline.
A participative fresco that won over the public
Throughout the event, visitors had the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale collective fresco inspired by the world of manga. This collaborative project allowed everyone, whatever their level, to add their own personal touch. The interaction with Apolline's students enriched the experience, with some visitors taking advantage of live advice to refine their lines or improve the composition of their drawings.
The success of this initiative confirmed the public's attraction to accessible and fun artistic activities. This type of project strengthens the commitment of drawing enthusiasts and demonstrates the growing interest in structured training in the field of manga and illustration.
Live drawing demonstrations by Apolline's students
As well as the fresco, the stand hosted several live drawing sessions by pupils from the school. Armed with their pencils, felt-tips, pens and graphics tablets, they recreated scenes and characters inspired by the world of manga before the amazed eyes of the public.
These demonstrations were an opportunity to talk to visitors about the techniques used: character proportions, light and shadow work, inking and colouring. The audience was curious and enthusiastic, asking lots of questions about learning to draw and the various training courses on offer.
