Content and programme of the different groups on our new course

Open to children aged 4 to 12, our new art course during the October holidays promises to be a colourful and thrilling experience! The theme of the activities will be the world of Halloween, and will give them the chance to develop their creativity and imagination in a natural setting offering the chance to play outside in complete safety.

Supervised by a motivated and caring team offering artistic and fun activities, participants will make their own Halloween costumes and take part in various artistic and group activities (see below).

We will have the pleasure of having our lunch delivered by La Coccinelle Verte, which offers organic and local meals for children, adapting to everyone's dietary requirements.

Minis: children aged 4 to 7

The Minis will have the opportunity to experience a week of artistic awakening, specially designed to nurture their imagination and creativity. Every day, they'll take part in Halloween-themed creative activities, such as fun crafts, painting, drawing, and even making fancy dress out of a variety of age-appropriate objects and materials. At the same time, we'll be organising activities where participants can enjoy dynamic games (outdoors or indoors, depending on the weather), an exciting treasure hunt and a variety of sports activities suitable for younger children. This camp is the perfect opportunity for them to express themselves freely and make friends, all while having fun in a natural setting.

Rookies: children aged 8 to 12

The Rookies will plunge into a magical world inspired by Harry Potter as they make their own costumes based on this iconic theme (cape, wand, broom, mask, hat, etc.). Guided by our team, they will give free rein to their creativity to create unique costumes while taking part in various artistic activities to develop their imagination. At the same time, group sports activities, adapted to their age, will punctuate the week. They can enjoy games such as table tennis, football and badminton, as well as outdoor games or indoor games in case of bad weather. This course will give the Rookies an immersive experience, combining art and sport for unforgettable memories.

A grand finale that will bring together the minis and rookies: the highlight of this enchanting camp, where it won't be surprising to come across a witch or ghosts in the games organised, will be the big Halloween party on Friday afternoon. The children will vote together for the best costume, and all they have to do is put on their costume to celebrate Halloween a few days later...

Meals & Snacks

Lunch

Lunch is carefully prepared and delivered by La Coccinelle Verte, a company specialising in children's meals. Made from local and organic produce, the meals are designed to appeal to the tastes of the youngest children, while still being well-balanced. At the time of registration, we take into account any food intolerances that each child may have and adapt the meals accordingly. However, if your child has a very specific diet, please contact us after enrolment so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Snacks

To keep the children energised throughout the day, we provide two snacks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. These snacks will be made up of fresh fruit and pastries, offering a balance of indulgence and nutrition to satisfy little appetites.

Breakfast

See the ‘Early Drop and Late Pick Up’ section below.

Early Drop & Late Pickup

This practical option allows parents to drop off their children at 7:30 in the morning and pick them up after their working day, up to 5:30 pm. Parents must bring their children to and from the site themselves.

In the morning, children are offered a breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, a selection of pastries, bread, butter and jam, with variations depending on the day. Children will be served a glass of orange juice, while parents can enjoy a cup of coffee before getting their day off to a good start.

In the evening, we extend childcare until 5.30pm, so that parents can collect their children after their working day without stress.

The cost of this option is CHF 75 for the full week. Please note that it is not possible to choose only mornings or only evenings; this option covers the whole week.

Transportations

To facilitate access to the camp, we organise a pick-up and drop-off service from Geneva, Lausanne, Nyon and Rolle train stations. This service allows parents to drop their children off at the station and pick them up again at the same place in complete peace of mind.

The exact timetable will be confirmed shortly before the start of the course. Here is an approximate timetable. Due to traffic, the exact time of return may vary slightly. You will be informed of the situation on the day. The exact pick-up point will be communicated to you shortly before the course with the latest practical information:

FAQ section

How can I register my child for the course and what are the payment terms?

Registration is easy: click on the button at the top of the page or in the dedicated section below. Once the process is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email and an invoice. Payment is required to confirm your place and will guarantee your son or daughter an adventure. Don't wait to sign them up! Places are limited and go quickly.

How big are the groups?

We limit our groups to 20 students per age group to ensure personalised attention and quality learning. Two facilitators per group ensure that individual attention is tailored to the needs of each student, while allowing for group cohesion and enriching interaction between participants, stimulating creativity and personal development.

Do you need any previous artistic experience to take part?

No, our courses are open to everyone, whether your child is just starting out or already has an artistic background. Each participant is encouraged to explore and develop their talents at their own pace, in a caring and stimulating environment. By adopting an egalitarian approach, we encourage exchanges between our students, creating synergy and strengthening the bonds between them.

Does my child need to bring a disguise?

No. All materials are provided by Apolline, as well as those used to make the costumes. Children can come empty-handed. We do, however, recommend that they adapt their clothes to the weather and wear comfortable, non-damaging shoes. A list will be sent out shortly before the start of the camps.

What measures are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of children during the courses?

The safety and well-being of our students is paramount. We strive to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, with constant supervision. Regular breaks and constant attention to individual needs ensure a safe and fulfilling experience. Each child has sufficient health and accident insurance to cover them during their stay.

Do I need to plan a meal?

Meals will be delivered by La Coccinelle Verte each day, according to the needs and specificities of each participant (intolerances taken into account). Careful supervision will be provided during the lunch break to ensure that all participants eat and rest properly before resuming their afternoon activities. The menu will be announced shortly before the course.

Snacks are also provided for breaks, and breakfast on site is available with the ‘Early Drop’ option.

How does the course encourage individual creativity?

Our programme is designed to awaken and nurture each child's creativity. Through various exercises, we allow each young person to express themselves freely while learning to value their uniqueness.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise (illness, accident, etc.). For cancellations made up to one week before the start of the course, we offer a full refund. If the cancellation is made less than a week before the start of the course, we will refund 50% of the total amount. This policy aims to offer a degree of flexibility while respecting the organisation of the courses.

Absolutely! Holiday camps are often an excellent way for shy children to come out of their shell. No, no specific skills are required to join our arts camps. Our programs are designed to welcome both beginners and those with prior artistic experience. We ensure that every child can progress at their own pace while discovering new techniques and having fun.

Holiday camps offer numerous benefits for children's development. They help foster autonomy, self-confidence, creativity, and social skills. By engaging in new activities and interacting with other children, young people learn to work as a team, solve problems, and express their creativity in a structured and stimulating environment. This also helps strengthen their ability to adapt to new situations.

Holiday camps strike a perfect balance between learning and leisure by giving children the opportunity to explore new passions while having fun. The workshops are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, allowing children to acquire new skills without the pressure of school. Creative, sports, and artistic activities are balanced to promote comprehensive development, both intellectually and emotionally.
