The pedagogical objectives of our workshop in Lausanne are centered on the overall development of the adolescent, through learning the performing arts. We aim to build each participant's self-confidence and hone their communication skills, while cultivating their appreciation for the dramatic arts. Our sessions also focus on teaching professional discipline and valuing cooperation, preparing students to express themselves with confidence and creativity. With a particular focus on linguistic diversity, we encourage participants to explore language and diction, key elements of theatrical performance. The training week also provides a platform for addressing emotional expression and stage presence, valuable skills both personally and academically.

What's the right age to start? There's no specific age to start. However, for children under the age of 6, it's generally not a question of lessons as such, but rather of initiation or discovery. Programs are often available from early childhood onwards, enabling younger children to develop their fluency as early as elementary school. For adults and teenagers, specific training courses are available and can be the start of a passion or even a career. At Apolline, we offer solutions for children from the age of 6, right through to adulthood. What are the qualities required for acting? Essential qualities include creativity, listening skills, patience and an open mind. A good dose of courage to present and express yourself in front of an audience is also crucial. This activity requires the ability to work closely with others, whether during rehearsals or performances, thus valuing teamwork and empathy. How can I train for improvisation? Improvisation is a fundamental skill, stimulating responsiveness and inventiveness. Taking part in dedicated camps or school activities can be extremely beneficial. Daily improvisation exercises, such as role-playing or spontaneous scenarios, help develop rapid, adaptable thinking. Our courses are an excellent opportunity to practice improvisation. How to let go in theater? Letting go is vital to authentic performance. This can be cultivated through breathing, relaxation and concentration exercises. Acting workshops provide a safe environment where participants can experiment and make mistakes without judgment, encouraging greater freedom of expression. In short, getting started in this field requires a mix of technical training, obtained through workshops or camps, and practical experience, where emotions and creativity can express themselves freely. Whether in Geneva, Lausanne or other parts of Switzerland such as Etoy and Yverdon, Apolline offers theatrical workshops in the form of weekly classes or vacation courses. Family or school vacation activities, in particular, can offer unforgettable experiences that strengthen the family bond while introducing the rudiments of acting. For everyone, the theatrical world is a school of life, teaching communication, self-confidence and the importance of teamwork.
