Mathieu

Born in 1996 in Mâcon, Mathieu took an early interest in music, particularly the piano, starting to learn at the age of 4. He followed a classical curriculum at the Conservatoire de Mâcon, graduating at the age of 17 with a Certificate of Musical Studies.
He went on to study sound and jazz/music piano at the Annecy conservatory, before entering the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne to study keyboards for contemporary music and then jazz piano, graduating with a master's degree in jazz performance in 2022.
His experiences in Lausanne have gradually enabled him to expand his network in Switzerland, and to perform at major Swiss festivals (Paléo, Montreux Jazz, Festi'Neuch, Gurten Festival and Zurich OpenAir, among others).
Alongside his activities as a musician, Mathieu has given regular private piano lessons, as well as occasional replacements in music schools (Blonay-Cojonnex secondary school, Boullard school in Morges). His wide-ranging experience, combined with a broad spectrum of studies, enables him to adapt to all styles of music and all ages, always keeping in mind the fun aspect of learning an instrument.
Having played and composed with numerous groups and artists (Valentino Vivace, Pat Burgener, Chemical Fame, Epoque Bleue), he places particular emphasis on the collective aspect and musical sharing, which are essential assets for group playing, but also for the student's personal development.
